Oh My Goodness! I cannot believe that my
'20 Creative Day Challenge' is nearly over!
When I go back to work I know I won't have time to scratch myself for at least two weeks, and that's the price you pay for taking three luscious weeks off! So I'll suck eggs and
get it done!
I am so gonna miss the 20CDC, as I've been affectionately calling it in my head. Have been flirting with the idea of a
365 Day Challenge. But I'd have to change the goalposts, as it's impossible to start work at 7am and get home whenever at night, to make tea, and then back to work again… and have something made every day! So I'm thinking it over…
…meanwhile, I am arranging the insurances I need for the monthly craft nights, so if you're keen for the dates please just hang on a little.
Anyway, today's creativity has a little story that goes with it…
We live in an old house. It's over 100 years old. So there are gaps in it. There's quite a large one under the front door. A frequent visitor to our house, under the front door gap is quite a large water lizard. It's around 10 inches long, and it's getting so fat now it can barely squeeze through! When you don't expect a lizard in your kitchen it can give you a large fright. When you're cooking and hear the cat eating its dry crunchies, only to turn around and discover that it's the lizard eating the crunchies, then that's slightly bizarre.
So today, I've made "SSSSSSSSSSolly the SSSSSSSSSnake
– House Protector from all Lizards!" She's lime green, with big lizard scaring eyes, a scary flicky tongue, and a very cute ruff around her neck!! Solly will lie across the bottom of the front door to protect us from cat crunchy stealing lizards (I Hope!!!) Will let you know…
