allow me to introduce myself…
My name is catherine duffy, and I have just turned 40.
I am very happily married to john, and we are the proud parents of two lovely cats, we live in a two bedroom cottage in new south wales, australia.
We own two businesses, a general printing business, and the very fun… Paper & Stuff, a papercraft shop. You may have seen it advertised in national scrapbooking and papercraft magazines. (or you may not have!)
I work 80% of the time in the printing business as a graphic artist and oddsbody, the remaining 20% is spent in Paper & Stuff with the girls playing at shopkeeping or teaching.
…until now I have kept a very low profile, and here is why. I have had migranes for 17 years, some months quite badly. My worst month I had 21 migrane days out of 30.
BUT NOW I HAVEN'T HAD A MIGRANE FOR FIVE WHOLE GLORIOUS MONTHS!
If you want to know why, keep reading and I'll share it.
I have tried pretty much everything to get rid of migranes, except for reading a book that has been sitting on my bookshelf for 2 years. "What your doctor may not tell you about Migranes" by Alexander Mauskop and Barry Fox. I read it and thought this is too simple! a herb, a mineral and a vitamin.
Anyway to cut a long story short… I tried their recommendation.
In the book they recommend taking 4 x 100mg chelated magnesium tablets, 4 x 100mg B2 riboflavin and 1 x 100mg feverfew every day. (I found the feverfew in 'Blackmores Migrane Aid')
I take it all at night after dinner and am taking 4 x 100mg chelated magnesium tablets, 2 x 100mg B2 riboflavin and 1 x 100mg feverfew per day. they say a 3 month trial is necessary, I knew in a week that it was working!
…can you overdose on it?
i am not a doctor but have researched a bit and found that if you take too much magnesium or B2 your body gets rid of the excess through your wee. feverfew though is something that you can't take if you are pregnant. google the info, get the book.
IF YOU THINK YOU ARE PREGNANT, OR ARE TRYING TO FALL PREGNANT! DON'T TAKE THE FEVERFEW.
…are there any side effects?
yes! I also have had notoriously bad periods. No longer!! No pms. No pain. No vomiting.
yes! I had a frozen shoulder for a couple of months after a three day bout of calligraphy (scrapbooking memories masters entry). And now there's no more shoulder pain.
yes! No more constipation.
yes! I am calmer at work.
yes! I have more energy.
…and NO I am not on commission with these guys.
Anyway, would I recommend this to you. YES! YES! however it might pay to check with your doctor if you have any other conditions or medications that you need to balance out.
THAT'S ENOUGH FROM ME FOR MY 'VIRGIN" POST.
THANKS FOR LETTING ME INTO YOUR COMPUTER.
